The New Orleans Odditarium is a museum of curiosities that illustrate some of the more offbeat and whimsical aspects of New Orleans history and culture. If you think you know everything about New Orleans, be prepared to be taken to school.
The Odditarium is housed in the lobby of La Belle Esplanade, a boutique experience inn that is consistently ranked the #1 place to stay not only in New Orleans but also in all of Louisiana. This won't do you much good if you're visiting Shreveport, but if you are visiting New Orleans, consider La Belle Esplanade.
The Odditarium is open by appointment only. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a visit. Prepare to be amazed by the stories the Odditarium holds. Not for the timid.
All illustrations on this website are either copyright-free engravings from over a hundred years ago, or are photographs copyright Matthew King, the Odditarium curator, and they cannot be used without express permission. You should be able to tell the difference between the engravings and the photographs. When in doubt, ask.
All written content is copyrighted by the Odditartum's curator, Matthew King. Brief excerpts are allowed for review purposes. If looking to collaborate with the Odditarium staff or to reprint large sections (more than a paragraph or two) from the Odditarium catalog, please contact the New Orleans Odditarium at: email@example.com.
